Fresh From The Ocean – Outback Steakhouse Seafood Menu

It’s nice to be able to choose off of the Outback Steakhouse seafood menu. There are a number of fresh options and each plate has something that compliments the seafood to ensure that you meal is more than just satisfactory. Fresh is the key word here.

I know we don’t always like it, but fresh seafood available will depend upon the time of year it is. Nature has to do her thing too. Having some knowledge of what’s fresh certainly helps before you head out the door to enjoy a nice dinner out but there are other ways to find out what’s happening.

outback-steakhouse-filet-lobstertailsThe Outback Steakhouse prides itself on offering the freshest seafood available. They understand how frustrating it is and frozen seafood doesn’t always cook or taste the same as fresh seafood does. Most of the items on the seafood menu are usually available. If there is a special seafood plate for the day, it’s sure to be a fresh delight.

One of the items on the Outback Steakhouse seafood menu (called Straight From The Sea) is the Norwegian Salmon. We know that salmon is very good for our bodies as it has a lot of Omega-3 which are fatty acids that our bodies need but can’t produce on its own. It comes from Norway (obviously) and is seasoned and wood-fire grilled. However, you can have fixed the “Classic” way in which it is seasoned and then seared.

Other items on the Outback Steakhouse seafood menu are:

  • Tilapia with Pure Lump Crab Meat
  • Wood-Fire Grilled Ahi Tuna
  • Hearts of Gold Mahi
  • Lobster Tails

Don’t forget that under the “Perfect Combinations” menu there are options that also include seafood and these are:

  • Filet & Grilled Shrimp on the Barbie
  • Filet & Lobster Tail
  • Sirloin & Choice of Shrimp

Then a light lemon butter Chablis sauce is drizzled over the entire entrée. This wonderful treat is served with fresh seasonal vegetables.

The Wood-Fire Grilled Ahi Tuna selection is composed of Sashimi-style Yellowfin Ahi Tuna. The tuna is grilled rare and then served with a lemon and chive vinaigrette. This is also served with fresh seasonal vegetables.

The next selection on the Outback Steakhouse seafood menu is the Hearts of Gold Mahi. The Mahi is grilled over a wood fire (or over the traditional grill) and topped with artichoke hearts, then sundried tomatoes, green onions and then a light lemon sauce. Again the fresh seasonal vegetables accompany this delight.

The last item on the “Straight From The Sea” menu is the lobster tails. You are served two cold water tails that are either steamed or seasoned and then grilled. They are served with your choice of two sides.

I don’t know about you, but I am getting hungry. The next time you are in the mood for some seafood, try one of the items on the Outback Steakhouse seafood menu.
